Paperspace offers two types of GPUs, Standard and Dedicated. See the machine details page for more info.
Standard GPUs are present in the G Class family of machine types (Air, Standard, and Pro). This family is optimized for general-purpose desktop computing, where the GPU is primarily used to accelerate the desktop stream. The GPU included in this family is the NVIDIA GRID "virtual" GPU, which does not support CUDA, OpenCL, and other features required for high-end GPU workloads.
For more intensive workloads, we offer dedicated GPUs. These are 1:1 dedicated to each machine and include all features of the GPU, including CUDA, OpenCL, PhysX, DirectCompute, etc. The dedicated GPU performance is commensurate with physical GPU performance. Dedicated GPUs are required for specific high-end CAD applications and most games.
